Colin’s Culture of Care – Our Vision and Commitment

Colin’s Culture of Care is inspired by Colin Wellsted who after 10 years of ownership of The Lymington Chiropractic Clinic passed away from cancer in September 2025. He left not just a team of like-minded professionals providing chiropractic care, sports therapy, massage therapy, rehabilitation, acupuncture, reiki, person-centred counselling and podiatry services to people from Lymington, New Forest and surrounding areas, but a legacy of care.

Under the leadership of Rachael Erwin, wife of Colin, and with the support of our reception team, we are all committed to continuing with what we affectionately call Colin’s Culture of Care.

Our Vision

To honour and continue the legacy of Colin Wellsted — chiropractor, colleague, mentor, and friend — whose compassion, humour, and integrity shaped not only how we care, but why we care.

Colin’s Culture of Care is a living philosophy — a promise to carry forward his values, his warmth, and his irrepressible belief that kindness, laughter, and skill can change lives.

We continue his mission:

To listen deeply, treat expertly, explain clearly, and care wholeheartedly

so that every patient who walks through our door feels seen, understood, and genuinely supported on their journey to better health.

Our Guiding Principles

Compassion First

Colin’s kindness was his trademark. Whether through a reassuring word, or a gentle nudge toward self-belief, he made people feel safe and valued.

We continue this by ensuring every person who visits us feels listened to, respected, and treated as an individual.

Excellence with a Human Touch

Colin’s clinical skill was meticulous, but never detached. His humour and humanity softened the edges of even the hardest days.

He reminded us that excellence in care means presence, curiosity, and doing your best for the person in front of you.

We honour this by striving for the same blend of expertise and empathy in every treatment.

Clarity, Communication, and Trust

“Explaining things properly” was one of Colin’s quiet superpowers.

He took time to help people understand what was happening in their bodies, why it mattered, and how to take part in their own recovery.

We carry forward his belief that clear communication builds confidence, and that trust is earned — word by word, and action by action.

Legacy in Motion

Colin’s care never stood still. He encouraged growth, welcomed new ideas, and celebrated every colleague’s achievement.

We honour this living legacy by continuing to evolve, collaborate, and seek better ways to serve our patients and our community — always with his same enthusiasm for learning and life.

Our Promise

We promise to keep Colin’s Culture of Care alive — not as a slogan, but as a way of being.

To welcome each person with warmth.

To treat every condition with skill and thought.

To explain, reassure, and empower.

And to remember, always, that care begins with kindness.

Through our work, our words, and our desire to continually evolve, Colin’s spirit continues to guide this clinic — reminding us daily that the smallest acts of care can leave the greatest legacy.
