Honouring Colin Wellsted’s Legacy at The Lymington Chiropractic Clinic

It is with devastating sadness and deep respect that we share the news that our much-loved chiropractor, clinic owner, and friend, Colin Wellsted, passed away peacefully on Sunday 28 September 2025, surrounded by his family.

Colin was the heart of Lymington Chiropractic Clinic — a compassionate practitioner, an inspiring leader, and a true friend to so many of us. Even during his recent illness, he continued to guide and support the clinic with his trademark dedication, ensuring that every decision reflected his unwavering commitment to patient care.

In keeping with his and his family’s wishes, Colin kept the severity of his condition private, continuing to focus on others right up until the end. We understand that this news will come as a great shock to many who have known and trusted him over the years, and we share in that sense of loss.

Colin’s Culture of Care

Those who followed our newsletters will remember Colin’s fondness for alliteration — and there’s one phrase that perfectly captures his influence: Colin’s Culture of Care.

Colin built the clinic around kindness, professionalism, and a genuine commitment to helping every patient feel understood and supported. His approach to chiropractic care shaped not only the way we treat patients but also the way we work together as a team. That culture of care continues to guide everything we do.

Continuing Colin’s Legacy

Under the leadership of his wife Rachael, and with our team of experienced chiropractors — Fiona Marshall, Charlotte Woodhouse (returning after maternity leave), Abbi Burcham, and Ian McFarlane — we remain devoted to providing the same patient-centred chiropractic care that Colin championed.

Our valued complementary therapists — Amanda Caspari (Acupuncture), Gareth Watkins (Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation), Hannah Day (Massage Therapy), Paul Gray (Podiatry), and Anna Shears (Counselling) — will continue to offer their expertise, ensuring that Colin’s vision of holistic, integrated care lives on.

And, of course, our reception team, Jay and Sally, will continue to welcome every patient with the warmth and understanding that Colin believed should begin from the very first contact with the clinic.

A Lasting Influence

We know that many of you will be feeling Colin’s absence deeply, as we are. His compassion, professionalism, and unwavering dedication to his patients have left an indelible mark on all of us.

As we move forward, our greatest tribute to Colin will be to continue his life’s work — providing exceptional, patient-centred care to the Lymington community he loved so much. You can read more about our team and the continuing work of Lymington Chiropractic Clinic here.

Our thoughts are with Rachael, their children, and everyone who knew and loved Colin. His legacy will always remain at the heart of Lymington Chiropractic Clinic.

With heartfelt gratitude,
