Our Specialist Treatments

Here at Lymington Chiropractic, we not only offer excellent chiropractic treatment,
we also offer a whole range of holistic treatments that enhance and support more traditional chiropractic, including:

Deep Tissue and Sports Massage

This type of massage manipulates the soft tissues of the body including movement for a specific therapeutic effect. Techniques and movements are used according to the client’s needs and response. It stimulates a healing process, which begins at the cellular level aiding soft tissues in repairing, restoring functional integrity and adapting back to health.

Herbal Medicine

Herbal Medicine is the use of plants for medicinal purposes. Plants have been the basis for medical treatments through much of human history and today’s modern medicine makes use of many plant-derived compounds as the basis for evidence-tested pharmaceutical drugs. Herbal medicine uses the plant in the purest form.

Specific Rehabilitation Exercise

Rehabilitation exercise plans are individual to each patient. We identify and plan our rehabilitation programs to benefit the required areas of the body. Most programs will go through an acute stage immediately after injury followed by a middle or rehabilitation stage where the focus is to regain normal movement and build strength.

Western Acupuncture

Western acupuncture is a therapeutic modality involving the insertion of fine needles; it is an adaptation of Chinese acupuncture using current knowledge of anatomy, physiology and pathology, and the principles of evidence based medicine. Western acupuncture reduces the pain experienced  and helps increase the mobility of the affected muscles and joints

Bioresonance and Homeopathy

Treating with Bio-resonance helps to maintain balanced health by strengthening the immune system and releasing the energy blocks.  Homeopathy is a complementary medicine that is used to treat a wide range of conditions both physical and psychological. It is safe for infants, children and adults. These can be combined effectively to help our patients improve their wellbeing.

Kinesio Taping (dynamic sports taping)

The Kinesio Taping Method is designed to facilitate the body’s natural healing process while allowing support and stability to muscles and joints without restricting the body’s range of motion. It is used to successfully treat a variety of orthopedic, neuromuscular, neurological and medical conditions. We use kinesio tape at the clinic not only for sportsmen and women to help them perform on field as well as recover from niggles and injuries but we also use it for everyday folk who need to continue working despite the discomfort their in. Tradesmen, gardeners even desk bound office workers can benefit from having kinesio tape applied.

Ultra Sound

Ultrasound has been used as a treatment modality for injuries over the last 50 years. It has proved to Be effective and reliable. The ultrasonic or high frequency sound waves (not audible to the human ear), transmits that energy deep into the tissues. The transduction of the energy causes a heating (thermal) effect although in most cases this cannot be felt by the patient themselves. This additional burst of energy may help to reduce the pain, muscle spasm and help promote the healing process of the injured tissues.
